The key to overall health and skin health is an anti-inflammatory lifestyle. For me this includes early wakeups and early bedtimes, always allowing for at least eight hours of sleep when I can, a balanced, anti-inflammatory diet and a skincare routine that soothes and hydrates skin without causing inflammation.

IN THE MORNING

I wake up around 7AM with my daughter, Pepper and get her ready for school. The next thing I do is drink a lot of water and I make myself a latte with plant-based milk. I like to eat my Bircher Muesli for breakfast that I’ll prepare the day before. It’s easy to make and you can store the ingredients over a long period of time.

AM ROUTINE

My morning skincare routine goes like this: Every day, I’ll use my CLEANSER and twice a week, I’ll either use the FACIAL SCRUB or ENZYME CLEANSER in the shower on my face and body. I put on my FACE MASK and leave it in for 20-30 MIN. I apply my BALANCING TONER immediately after, then HYALURONIC SERUM and THE BETTER B NIACINAMIDE SERUM. I’ll then apply my SUPER ANTI-AGING FACE CREAM, GLOW DROPS and LIP BALM.

This delicious smoothie is packed with foods that have been proven to optimize sleep and includes Dr. Sturm’s SKIN TEA MOLECULAR HERBAL INFUSION and GOOD NIGHT supplement. DURING THE DAY

I’ll always try to fit in a quick work out, usually while I am on calls and I’ll remove my FACE MASK. I am in touch with my NYC, London, and Düsseldorf offices for the most part of the morning and then after I create a lot of content for magazine interviews and our own channels. For lunch, I might go to one of the restaurants or cafes near my spa in Düsseldorf and pick up a fresh salad and juice. Most days I will host a live or a masterclass on our social media if I am not traveling for work and having in-person meetings. I love to give advice and find solutions for my patients as an aesthetics doctor and as a creator of my skincare line, which I am also the CEO of. And as a doctor, I am constantly working with leading scientists around the world to improve health and longevity on all levels - not just for the skin, but for the body too.

IN THE EVENING

I love early bedtimes and switching off and unwinding. Sleep is a non-negotiable part of my beauty regimen. Getting a good night's sleep is much simpler than people make it. I don't drink much, I don't eat big, heavy meals close to bedtime and I do not look at a digital device right before I sleep - the blue light emitted from screens triggers the fight or flight hormone Cortisol that keeps you awake. I’ll make a cup of my SKIN TEA MOLECULAR HERBAL INFUSION to help wind down and might read a little - I always have a book close by from the Indian philosopher J. Krishnamurti called ‘Freedom From The Known’ and like to pick it up and start reading anywhere - it helps me to keep my feet on the ground.

PM ROUTINE

Just before bed I'll play STURM SOUNDS, soothing sounds created by functional music innovators for our Spas, which you can also download via Spotify. They help reduce the listener’s heart rate and cortisol levels, which in turn, lowers inflammation in the body and calms the mind. Whilst they’re playing, I’ll cleanse my skin and apply my SUPER ANTI-AGING and NIGHT SERUMS, following EXOSO-METIC FACE SERUM and my SUPER ANTI-AGING NIGHT CREAM to boost the skin’s natural renewal processes while I sleep. I also take my GOOD NIGHT supplements before bed, especially after a stress-filled day, they contain a blend of natural active ingredients that relax the body and mind and help you fall asleep sooner and deeper.

Ingredients 

• ¼ cup rolled oats
• 1 cup spinach
• ½ cup brewed SKIN TEA (cooled)
• 1 banana (fresh or frozen)
• 1 tbsp almond butter
2 GOOD NIGHT supplements (opened and emptied)

Place uncooked oats in a blender and blend well until finely ground. Add spinach, SKIN TEA, banana, and almond butter to the blender. Sprinkle in the GOOD NIGHT supplements. Blend until smooth, pour into a glass and enjoy.
